How to access our counselling and listening services
Butterflies accept self-referrals from anyone over the age of 18 through our secure online form- enabling you to take control of your grief and loss.
Once we have received your referral, we will then process your claim and you will be sent a pack of information to fill in and return to us. You will then be allocated a counsellor or friendship buddy who will get in touch with you.
At the current time, we offer either telephone counselling service or face to face sessions at the Butterflies Centre in Eastleigh. You are offered an initial 8 x 45-minute sessions and then you will review with your counsellor whether you need more sessions.
We also offer 30-minute listening and chat service for lonely people.
We have qualified counsellors, who are registered with BACP and/or the NCS (National Counselling Society), as well as student counsellors undertaking their required qualifying work with us, and all of whom work within the profesisonal ethics of BACP.
A donation towards our work per session is appreciated.
We also accept referrals from GPs and healthcare professionals
